Materials: 16 yds Crochet Cotton
Steel Crochet Hook Size 7
¼ yd 3/8” Ribbon
White Craft Glue

Finished Size Approximately 3” Long

Gauge: Rnds 1,2 = 1 1/8”

Starting at “Belly Button”
Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3 (first dc). Work 13 dc in ring. Sl st in top of ch 3 to join. (14 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 2 (first hdc), 1 hdc in same st as joining. 2 hdc in each of next 13 dc. Sl st in top of ch-2 to join. (28 hdc)
Rnd 3: Ch 2 (first hdc). Work 1 hdc in each hdc around. Join. (28 hdc)

Arms and Legs:
Row 4: Ch 3 (first dc). 1 dc in each of next 4 hdc.
Row 5: Ch 2 (first hdc), turn. 1 hdc in each of next 4 dc.
Row 6: Ch 1, turn. 1 sc in each of 5 hdc. Working along side of arm, sl st in top of next hdc from row 5. Sl st in top of next dc from
row 4. Ch 1, sl st in same st as last dc made in row 4. Work 1 sl st in each of next 2 hdc from rnd 3. Rep rows 4, 5, 6 three more
times. (4 arms/legs)
Row 7: Head: Ch 3 (first dc), 2 dc in same st. 4 dc in next hdc. 3 dc in next hdc. (10 dc)
Row 8: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in same st as turning. 1 dc in each of next 8 dc. 2 dc in next dc. (12 dc)
Rows 9 & 10: Ch 3, turn. 1 dc in each of next 11 dc. Rep row once more.
Row 11: Ears: Ch 1, turn, 1 sc in same st as turning. 3 dc in each of next 2 dc. Sl st in saem st as last dc made. 1 sl st in each of
next 2 dc. 1 sc in each of next 2 dc. 1 sl st in each of next 3 dc. Ch 1. 3 dc in same st as ch 1. 3 dc in next dc. 1 sc in next dc.
Finish off.

Finishing:
Little or no blocking is required. Mae 1 tassle as follows:
Tassle:
Wrap a 4 yd length of crochet cotton around a 2 1/2" wide piece of cardboard. Remove from cardboard. Tie end of a 6" length
together and attach this loop to center of folded 4 yd length with a larkshead knot. Tie a simple knot in the loop at top of tassle to
secure. Tie a wrap around tassle using a 15" length. Clip bottom ends of tassle and attach tassle to project with larkshead knot.
Larkshead tassle under a stitch at center of teddy’s head. Make a bow tie with ribbon and glue in place.
