Materials: Crochet Cotton Size 5 (50 yd balls)-4 balls yellow
Crochet Hook Size 6 or 1.75 mm
Stitches Used:
Cluster (cl): Holding back last lp of each st on hook, work 4 tr in next sp, ho hook and
through all 5 lps on hook.
V-st: (tr, ch 4, tr) in one sp or st.
Shell: (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in one sp or st.
Large Shell: (4 dc, ch 3, 4 dc) in one sp or st.
Picot: Ch 4, sl st in 4th st from hook.
Center:
Rnd 1: Form lp with end of thread, insert hook into lp, yo hook and through lp, ch 1,
work 16 sc into lp, join with sl st to first sc; pull free end of thread to tighten lp.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as sl st, * ch 20, sl st in 4th ch from hook and in next 16
ch, sc in same sc of rnd 1, ch 5, sk next sc, sc in next sc, rep from * 7 times, end sl st
in first sc. Fasten off.
Leaves (make 8):
Row 1: Ch 20, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 17 ch, 3 sc in last ch; working down
along opposite side fo ch, sc in next 17 ch, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in next 17 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 17 sc, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in next 19 sc, ch 1, sl st in ch-5 lp of center, ch 1, sc in same sc of leaf as
last sc. Fasten off.
Pin stems and leaves out straight and steam lightly to block.
Flowers (make 8):
Rnd 1: Form lp with end of thread, insert hook into lp, yarn over hook and through lp,
ch 1, work 12 sc into lp, join with sl st to first sc; pull free end of thread to tighten lp.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same place as sl st , ch 5, * sk next st, sc in next st, ch 5, rep from
* 4 times, ch 5, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.

Wash and starch lightly. Lay flat to dry, blocking to shape. Doily has tendency to twist
in the stem and leaves area. Extra starch may be needed in this area or allow to twist
freely for a 3-dimensional look.
