Easter Egg Tissue Box
Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn 2 1/2 oz White, Small Amount of pink, lavender,
green and yellow
Tapestry Needle
Crochet Hook Size H
Side: (Make 4):
Row 1: With white, ch 16, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (15 sc)
Row 2:-21: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn. At end of last row, fasten off.
Sew ends of rows on sides together to form a box.
Top:
Row 1: Repeat same row of side.
Rows 2-7: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 8: Ch 1, sc in first 4 sts; for opening, ch 7, skip next 7 sts; sc in last 4 sts, turn. (8 sc, 1 ch-7 sp)
Row 9: Ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch across, turn (15)
Rows 10-16: Repeat row 2. At end of last row, fasten off. Easing to fit, sew top to sides.
Egg: (make 1 each green, lavender, yellow, pink):
Row 1: Ch 9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across, turn. (8 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first st, sc in each st across to last st, 2 sc in last st, turn. (10)
Rows 3-6: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
Row 7: Ch 1, sc first 2 sts tog, sc in each st across to last 2 sts, sc last 2 sts tog, turn. (8)
Row 8-9: Repeat row 3.
Row 10-11: Repeat row 7. (6,4)
Row 12: Repeat row 3.
Rnd 13: Working around outer edge, ch 1, sc in each st and in end of each row around with 3 sc in each end of row 1, join
with sl st in first sc, fasten off.
Finishing:
1: With indicated colours, using straight stitch, embroider each egg according to embroidery diagram.
2: Cut 10" piece each of pink, yellow, lavender and green. Tie one piece into a bow around each top corner.
