Easy Red & Green Tree Skirt
Materials: 4 Ply Yarn 7 ozs each of Red, Green and White
Crochet Hook Size I
Finished Size Approximately 38" Diameter
Starting at center (top edge) with red, ch 43.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in next 4 ch, * 2 hdc in next
ch (inc made), hdc in next 5 ch. Rep from * around, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in each hdc, working 2 hdc in 2nd hdc of each
inc, turn.
Rep row 2 for pattern, working 2 rows red, 2 rows white, and 2
rows green. Work until piece measures 17-18" from beginning,
ending with 2nd row of green strip.
Note: Tree skirt forms a circle when draped around the base of
the tree. If a longer skirt is desired continue to work row 2 until
desired length.
Flowers can be added or not whatever desired.
Fleurette: (make 15): With red ch 2.
Rnd 1: Work 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in joining, ch 3, * 2 dc in next sc, ch 3. Rep from
* around. Join to top of ch-3--* loops. Fasten off.
Attach one fleurette to each increased point and one in between
each point on lower edge of back opening.
