Ladies Triangular Shawl

Materials: Sport Weight Yarn 6 Skeins of 50 gram balls
Crochet Hook Size H or 5.00 mm

Shawl measure approximately 51" across not including fringe.
It is triangular shaped working from the point out to the wide edges.


Ch 3.
Row 1: Work 3 hdc in first ch. Ch 2, turn. (Ch 2 does not count as stitch)

Row 2: Work 2 hdc in first st (1 stitch increased), hdc in next st, 2 hdc in last st (another st
increased) (5 hdc), Ch 2, turn.

Row 3: Work 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each of next 3 sts, 2 hdc in last st (7 hdc). Ch 2, turn.

Row 4: Work 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each of next 5 sts, 2 hdc in last st(9 hdc). Ch 2, turn.

Continue as established (there will be 2 new stitches on each row) until 76 rows from
beginning (153 hdc on last row). Fasten off.

Finishing: (fringe): Cut yarn lengths 12" long. Fold 2 pieces of yarn in half, draw fold through end
of hdc row, draw ends through fold and tighten. In this manner work a fringe at the end of each
hdc row along short edges of shawl. Trim fringe to 5".
