Materials: Bucilla Wonder sheen (mercerized) Cotton 3 Skeins
     Steel Crochet Hook Size 7

Finished Size Approximately 17” x 50”
Gauge: 4 rows = 1”; 25 double crochet = 2”

Row 1: Ch 36, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each st to end of ch. (34 dc in row, including turning ch 3 at beginning of row)
Row 2: Ch 11, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each of the 7 remaining sts of chain, 1 dc in next dc (10 dc in all, including
turning ch), ch 2, sk 2 sts, 1 dc in next st (a space), 9 more spaces, ch 2, sk 2 sts; make a foundation dc in next st as follows: thread
over hook, draw up a loop in top of st of turning chain, over and through 1 loop(this makes a foundation st for next dc), over and
through 2 loops, over and through remaining 2 loops; thread over insert hook in foundation st made in last foundation dc and draw
up a loop, finish the dc the same as the last dc, make 8 more foundation dc (10 foundation dc, in all; 9 dc added at end of row).
Row 3: Ch 11, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each of the 7 remaining sts of chain, 1 dc in next dc, 3 spaces over group of 10
dc, ch 2, 1 dc in next dc; continue to follow chart to end of row, then add 9 dc at end of row, same as in 2nd row (10 dc in group).
Row 4: Ch 11, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 7 more dc on chain, 1 dc in next dc, 4 spaces, 1 dc in next space, 1 dc in next dc, 2 dc
in next space, 1 dc in next dc, 3 spaces, continue to follow chart to end of row.
Row 5: Ch 11, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each of 7 remaining sts of chain, 1 dc in next dc, 6 spaces, ch 2, 1 dc in each of
next 7 dc, 2 spaces, 2 dc in next space, * 1 dc in each of the next 7 dc, 2 dc in next space; rep from * once, 1 dc in next dc; continue
pattern as on chart, adding 9 dc at end of row.
Row 6: Ch 8, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each of the 4 remaining sts of chain, 1 dc in next dc, 6 spaces, a group of 7 dc
over next 2 spaces, follow chart to end of row adding 6 sts at end of row (7 dc in group). Follow chart for the next 3 rows.
Row 10: Ch 5, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in last st of chain, 1 dc in next dc; follow chart across, adding 3 dc at end of row (4
dc in group). Follow chart for the next 3 rows.
Row 13: Ch 17, turn, 1 dc in 4th st from hook, 1 dc in each of the 13 remaining sts on chain, 1 dc in next st; follow chart across,
adding 15 dc at end of row (16 dc in group), ch 3, turn. Continue in this way to follow chart to the last row (center row), then work
back to end of the 13th row from beginning, break off (It is easier to follow pattern if chart is turned upside down).
Row 169: (12th row on chart):Sk 15 dc from end of last row, a dc in next dc, 2 dc in space, 1 dc in next dc, 3 spaces, continue to
follow chart to end of row.
Row 170: (11th row on chart): Turn, a sl st in each of the first 4 sts, ch 3, 2 dc in next space, 1 dc in next dc, 3 spaces, follow chart to
end of row. Continue in this way to work pattern as on chart, to end.
Edging:
The edging is worked across ends of runner only.
Row 1: Sl st in corner st at end of row 13 (A on chart), ch 22, a sc in 16th dc of same row (B on chart), ch 7, sc in 4th dc in next row
(C on chart), ch 7, sc in 4th dc of next row (D on chart), ch 7, sc in the 4th dc in next row, * ch 9, sc in the 7th dc in next row, repeat
from * 3 times; * ch 13, sc in 10th dc in next row (see chart), repeat from last * 3 times; ch 1, sl st in top of first dc in next row (edge of
runner, (E on chart), ch 22, sl st in 17 dc of same row, ch 22, sl st in top of last dc of same row, ch 1, 1 sc in top of next dc in row
below (F on chart), ch 13, sc in first dc of group in row below (second row of runner). Continue row the same as on other side (see
chart).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 7 sc under chain of 22 sts, ch 3, 5 sc under same ch 22, ch 3, 1 sc in top of last sc, ch 3, 1 sc in same st as last
sc, ch 3, finish the “triple picot” with a sl st in last sc, 5 sc, ch 3, 7 sc, -- all under same ch 22, sl st in next sc in row below, * ch 2, sc
and a triple picot in center st of next ch, ch 2, sl st in next sc; rep from * twice; !ch 3, sc and triple picot in center st of next ch, ch 3, sl
st in next sc of row below, repeat from ! 3 times; * ch 6, sc and triple picot in center st of next ch, ch 6, sl st in next sc in row below,
repeat from last * 3 times; 1 sc under ch 1, at E on char, sl st in next sc, 7 sc, ch 3, 5 sc--all under next ch 22, sc and triple picot
under same ch, 5 sc, ch 3, 7 sc--all under same ch 22. This is center of edging, work other half in same way. Make a sl st in 5th st
before corner A on 13th row of runner; ch 14, sk next 4 sts on 13th row of runner, sl st in each of next 2 sts on edge, turn, work 6 sc
under ch 14 just made, ch 3, 5 more sc under ch 14, join with sl st in center of chain (22) right above (just below triple picot); 5 sc, ch
3, 6 sc--all under other half of ch 14, fasten with sl st in next st on edge of 13th row, break off. Work same lp inside each of the other
3 large lps. Make this edging along opposite end of runner.
Tassel: Wind thread about 26 times around a 3-inch cardboard, tie at one end and cut at other end, tie again ½ inch below first
typing. Make 8 of these tassels. Cover head of each tassel with a cap, made as follows: ch 5, join with sl st into a ring, 6 sc in ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st of last rnd.
Rnd 3: 1 sc in each st of last rnd. Repeat the last rnd 4 times, * triple picot in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from *
three times, join with a sl st and fasten off. Sew a tassel to center picot of the triple picot at top of each large loop.
