Materials: 4 ply brushed yarn; 8 oz royal blue
  4 ply yarn; 2 oz eggshell, scrap of black
  Crochet Hook Size F/5 or 4.00 mm
  3” x 5” piece of cardboard
  Fiberfill
  Yarn Needle

Finished Size Approximately 11 inches tall
Gauge: 9 sc = 2”; 9 sc rows = 2”
Notes:
1) To change colours in the middle of a row, work until 2 lps of last st rem on hook, draw up next colour and complete st with
new colour, drop old colour to wrong side of work.
2) To change colours at the beg of a new row, when working the last st of row and 2 lps rem on hook, finish st with new
colour, drop old colour, ch 1, turn.
3) Loop stitch (lp st): * Insert hook in next sc, wind yarn over index finer, holding top of finger 1 ¼” above work, yo and draw
through (pulling yarn from under index finger), always drop lp to right side of work, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook, rep
from * across.
4) Use front and back sheep graphs as guidelines for stitch placement and colour changes.

Back Body:
Rep basic front body, following back piece graph, reverse eggshell and blue sts in each row of directions as required. When
heads and legs of each piece are matched tog the wool (loop sts) is on the outside of each piece.
Rep row 1 on front body border.
Facial Features:
Nostrils: (make 2): With yarn needle and black yarn, embroider 4 straight sts across rows 28 and 29 of each piece. Weave
in loose ends.
Eyes: (make 2): With black, ch 3, 10 sc in 3rd ch from hook, sl st to join in top of beg ch, fasten off. Weave in loose end.
With black and yarn needle, sew to each side of head between rows 32 and 35.
Ears: (make 2):
Row 1: Beg at bottom (end to be attached to head), with eggshell, ch 8, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each rem ch across,

With wool lps (lp sts) on outside edge, sc the 2 pieces tog, changing colours to correspond with edge around fiberfill before
closing, sl st to join, fasten off. Weave in loose ends.
Tail:
Wrap blue yarn around the 3-inch side of cardboard 30 times. Insert a 12-inch length of blue between yarn and cardboard.
Tie ends in a knot to secure. Slide off cardboard. D no cut opposite ends of yarn. Attach knotted end to row 33 of body.
