Filet Crochet Snowman Runner
Materials: 3 - 400 yd balls of size 10 white crochet cotton
Crochet Hook size 6 or 1.75 mm
Tapestry Needle
Gauge: 18 dcs and 10 rows=2 inches
Finished Size Approximately 17 inches wide x 51 inches long.
Reading Chart: The first row begins with ch 3, turn and ends with the last
dc in the top of the turning ch of previous row. The first vertical line of the
chart represents the ch 3, turn. All boxes represent three sts, which are
explained on the stitch key and in the instructions. Keep in mind that most
of the vertical lines on the chart represent a dc and the horizontal lines of
the empty boxes represent ch 2. Some rows are written out to help
explain the instructions. First ch-3 of a row counts as first dc. When the
chart indents, ch 1, turn, sl st in first 3 sts or previous row, ch 3 for first dc
of new row.
Directions: Before you begin, refer to gauge, techniques/stitches used, etc.
The runner is crocheted from the center out to the ends.
First Half: Ch 174 for foundation ch, dc in fourth ch from hook for first dc
and follow row 1 across chart, working dcs in chs indicated on the chart.
Continue to follow chart to complete frist half of runner. Fasten off at the
end of Row 107. Use tapestry needle to weave in loose ends.
Second Half: Attach thread in first ch on opposite side of foundation ch, ch
3 for first dc and follow chart to complete second half of runner. Fasten off
