Sunny Winter Hat and Scarf
This is an extremely easy pattern for beginners and warm. I love working with this yarn it is easy to make this stitch
and very quick to crochet
Bernat Velvet 10.5 oz ball
Crochet Hook Size J or 6.00
Stitches Used:
sc - single crochet
ch - chain
sk - skip
Size S(M,L)
Ch 70 (75,80)
Sl st to join, do not twist.
Rnd 1: Ch 2, sc in 2nd ch from hk, (Ch 1, sk 1 chain, sc in next chain) around, do not join, this hat is done in a
spiral so there is no seam.
Rnds 1 to 30: Continue to work in the spiral (Ch 1, sk 1 sc, sc in next space) until 32 rounds completed. Bind off
leaving a length to sew top. Turn hat inside out and sew top.
I folded the edge but it can be a slouchy hat or eliminate some of the rows and do not fold, you can also add
embellishments if you want.
Scarf
Bernat Velvet (One ball should make a hat and scarf unless you want a very large scarf)
Crochet Hook Size J or 6.00
Ch 31.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in next st, skip next st, sc in next st until end.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in next space between stitches until end.
Continue with row 3 until scarf is length you desire.
