Victorian Fan Ornament
Materials: Crochet Cotton about 45 yds of colour of your choice
Size 3 Steel Crochet hook
Fabric Stiffener
Ch 6, sl st to form a ring.
Row 1: Ch 4, work 11 tr in ring, turn.
Row 2: Ch 4, tr in same st, 2 tr in each st across, turn.
Row 3: (Ch 3, sl st in next st) 23 times, turn.
Row 4: (Ch 4, sl st in next sp) 23 times, turn.
Row 5: (Ch 5, sl st in next sp) 23 times, turn.
Row 6: Ch 4, (tr, ch 2, 2 tr) in first sp, (shell-2 tr, ch 2, 2 tr) in each sp across,
trun.
Rows 7&8: Ch 1, sl st to sp in first shell, ch 4, (tr, ch 2, 2 tr) in same sp, shell
in each shell across, turn.
Row 9: * Ch 4, sc in shell, ch 4, sc between next 2 shells*, rep from * to *
across, do not turn.
Row 10: Ch 1, sc evenly across ends of rows 9-1, sc in beg ring.
For Handle:
(Hdc, dc, tr 3 dtr, tr, dc, hdc, sc) in ring, sc evenly across ends of rows 1-9,
work 4 sc in each ch-4 sp on row 9, join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
Cut an 8" length of cotton , fold in half, loop it through the top of the
ornament and knot ends to form the hanger.
Starch with fabric stiffener or spray starch.
